New Delhi: President Ramnath Kovind on Saturday unveiled the portrait of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Rashtrapati Bhavan to commemorate his 125th birth anniversary celebrations.
Many, including some Congress and TMC leaders, claimed that it was not the portrait of Netaji, but that of actor Prosenjit Chatterjee who played the role of Bose in the Bengali film ‘Gumnaami’ released in 2019.
As people started calling it a “major goof-up” by the president’s office, it invoked hilarious responses on Twitter and other social media platforms.
However, a fact check by Alt News has now revealed that the portrait was not a goof-up, but a genuine one of Netaji.
