President Kovind for Tirupati on Sept. 1

President Ramnath Kovind is likely to arrive here on September 1 on a two-day pilgrimage.

This will be the first visit of Ramnath Kovind after becoming President of the country. Governor ESL Narasimhan and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would receive the President at Renigunta airport.

  After landing at Renigunta, the President would go to Tiruchanur to have a darshan of Goddess Padmavati. He will also inaugurate Padmavati Women’s Medical College there.    The President would be felicitated on the occasion. He will also would lay a foundation stone for Ambedkar Silk Development Academy to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore. Kovid would distribute loans worth Rs two crore and land pattas to Dalits before addressing a public meeting.

  Later, the President would proceed to Tirumala and stay there. On September 2, the President will have a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy before reaching Renigunta to go to Delhi. Security has been beefed up in view of the visit of the President. (NSS)
