Tirumala, July 9: President Pratibha Patil on Thursday inaugurated the new Annadanam complex here. The complex was constructed at a cost of Rs 29 crore with the donations from Vegesna Foundation and Penna Cements.
After inaugurating the Sri Mathrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Nithyannadana complex, the President spent nearly two-hours in the complex. Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, governor ESL Narasimhan and Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan, MLA Chiranjeevi were present on the occasion. Later the dignitaries along with state ministers Geetha Reddy and Raghuveera Reddy participated in the devotional music programme organised by the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel. Patil along with her husband Devi Singh and son Rajendra Singh and several other family members had lunch in the Annadanam complex..
