Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee arrived here today on a day’s visit to attend the centenary celebrations of Osmania University and the first convocation of English and Foreign Languages University.
Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and several other dignitaries welcomed the President at the Begumpet airport in the city.
The President is scheduled to address the inaugural function the centenary celebrations of Osamania University.
After the event at the university, Mukherjee would have lunch at the Raj Bhavan.
He would also attend the first convocation of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in the evening and then leave for Delhi from the Begumpet airport.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the city for the President’s visit.
