Kolkata, December 06: President Pratibha Patil arrived at the N S C Bose International airport this evening for a two-day visit to the city.
Patil was received by West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi, Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, Chief Secretary Ashok Mohan Chakraborty and Director General of Police Bhupinder Singh after arriving in a special aircraft at around 6:30 pm.
Airport sources said her cavalcade left the airport at around 6:40 pm.
Patil will stay at the Raj Bhavan tonight.
The President will attend the concluding programme of the Platinum Jubilee of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) at Salt Lake here tomorrow.
She will also meet people at the Raj Bhavan tomorrow evening and inaugurate a Solar P V Power project in its premises.
