President Pranab Mukharjee today received a grand welcome at the Begumpet airport on his arrival here this morning.
Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh K Chandrasekhara Rao, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Governor E S L Narsimhan and others welcome the President. The High Court Chief Justice, Telangana Deputy Chief Ministers Dr Rajaiah and Muhmood Ali, Speaker of Telangana Assembly Madhusudhana Chari, several ministers, MPs and MLAs were among those who welcomed the President.
President Pranab Mukharji visited Hyderabad for the first time after formation of Telangana State Curiously, Chandrababu Naidu and Chandrasekhara Rao, who met for the first time after being elected Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively, were seen shaking hands in the presence of the Governor. Chandrababu Naidu also patted Chandrasekhara Rao’s shoulder. The trio spent some time with ‘chit-chat’.
