Hyderabad, February 16: Speaker N Kirankumar Reddy has objected to meetings being held by non-legislators on the Assembly premises and in the legislators’ quarters.
Speaking at the Business Advisory Committee meeting here today, Reddy said the Assembly premises belonged to the legislators and only they were allowed to carry out their activities. How could persons other than legislators enter the premises and hold meetings, he wondered.
What must have provoked the Speaker to make the comment was the meeting held by T JAC convener M Kodanda Ram on the premises of the House.
Kirankumar Reddy also took objection to non-legislators holding meetings at the residential quarters allotted to them and wanted to know how the T JAC set up its office there.
