Riyadh, February 02: In the past, divorces were infrequent and only happened for fundamental reasons that made married life impossible.
It never happened during the early years of marriage, out of fear for the potential damage to the wife’s reputation.

They say that marriage in the 21st century is not built on compatibility and similarities in education, beliefs and morals.
They also say that marriage these days depends more on financial capabilities. The sociologists are also of the opinion that such kinds of marriages lack the very elements of success and so do not last long.
They claim wealthy families often act as matchmakers for their children for personal and business gains. They noted that such marriages often fail very quickly.
The sociologists say that the objective of any marriage should be to maintain a happy life and resolve obstacles peacefully.
They say traditional marriages are not relevant in this modern age, as well as unions based on financial interests. According to them, the age of mental and physical maturity starts at 25.
The sociologists believe that psychological maturity is very essential for a long married life, especially in the present society, which has become very complex and full of pressures and anxieties.
They warn that early marriages mean early divorces. So if you are planning to marry, heed these warnings carefully.
