New Delhi, August 13: A 22-year-old pregnant woman was on thursday found beaten to death in a park here, with police suspecting the involvement of her husband in the murder.
Neetu was found lying dead in a park near her rented house in Ramdhari Colony in Burari’s Ramesh Nagar this morning by a morning walker, a senior police official said. Her body had injury marks similar to that received when one is beaten up.
Her husband Amit Chandra (25) has been detained for questioning. The couple got married against the wishes of their families sometime back and were staying in the rented
accommodation. Neetu’s mother Gurjeet Kaur used to visit them regularly.
“There are allegations that Chandra used to beat Neetu. There were some injury marks on her body. We are questioning him,” the official said.
