It is the practice of the Govt. that it leaves no stone unturned to impose its decisions on the public. The services of religious heads are also utilized for this purpose. Many a time, political decisions prove wrong and sometimes the group of the Govt. on people gets weaker. At that time there is no way out for them except to present religious head in front of the people to justify their incomprehensible policies. This has happened in the past. A political party of the city collaborated with Congress but this party didn’t bother to utter a single word on the damages caused to the interests of the Muslims during the past ten years.
Suddenly, what has happened to it that it had to dissociate itself from the ruling Congress party in the state. The representatives of this political party would now start touring the districts to clarify their stand. At the same time, they would keep with them those religious leaders who extend their support to this political party. It is also a fact that these religious leaders have kept themselves away from all these political activities.
We should not forget the fact that at Central level, Govt. alleged that the Muslims are involved in bomb blast cases in mosques and dargahs. Muslims youths were targeted in the name of terrorist activities. Diplomatic relations were strengthened with the worst enemy of the Muslims, Israel. Large scale massacre of Rohingya Muslims took place in Manyamar. The precedent of the killings of the Muslims in Assam is before us. Everyone knows the attitude of the Govt. at state level but this political party continued its support to Congress. By changing its stand suddenly now, an impressin is being created by the political party that whatever it did in the past was right. It is extending the support to a new political party by declaring Congress and BJP as the communal parties. Where is the guarantee that the new political party won’t deceive the Muslims?
