Minority Welfare Department has earmarked Rs.80,26,63,000 for Pre & Post Matric scholarships for minority students. Special Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel issued orders in this connection.
On 17th January 2014, Commissioner Minority Welfare had requested issue of budget for Pre & Post Matric Scholarships and Merit Cum Means Scholarship from the budget of financial year 2013-14. On February 6, 2014 Finance department released Rs. 80,26,63,000 towards the scheme.
Commissioner Minority Welfare has been authorized to implement the scheme through the amount.
