Patna: Prashant Kishor, the man who had once crafted PM Narendra Modi’s national election campaign is the brain behind Nitish Kumar’s victory in Bihar.
Former United Nations health official, Kishor started prepping his strategy for Nitish’s re-election as Bihar CM way back in May.
The beady-eyed 37-year-old Prashant’s well-crafted ideas are a huge advantage for Nitish that managed the campaign against the Modi and the BJP.
He has brought about a number of changes to popularise the JD (U). He used colours and social media to make an impact for JD (U).
JD (U) dropped its green-coloured flags — associated with socialists — and switched to red.
Kishor, who is the brainchild behind Modi’s popular “selfie trendsetter” and of course the vastly popular “chai pe charcha” also attributed to coining Nitish’s ‘Har Ghar Dastak’, reminiscent of catchword used in the Modi campaign (“Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi”)
Kishor’s team of professionals mostly included MBAs and Ivy League and IIT graduates that handled Nitish’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
“Nitish Kumar is one of the most credible politicians and is credited for establishing governance and rule of law in a challenging state like Bihar,” Mr Kishor, who belongs to Buxar in Bihar, had told NDTV at the time.
Kishor become one of the most trusted and powerful strategists who has redefined the campaigning for Indian elections.
