Former MLC and YSR Congress party spokesperson HA Rahman on Monday alleged that the Congress party was wrongly taking the credit for the Pranahita-Chevella project.
Talking to reporters, Rahman said that the Pranahita-Chevella project was the result of initiatives taken by former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. However, he said that the Congress party was trying to take the credit, after the signing of agreement with the Maharashtra Government.
Rahman alleged that former Chief Minister K Rosaiah and his successor N Kiran Kumar Reddy have shelved several projects and welfare schemes started by YSR.
He also dismissed the reports of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy’s alleged links with Bhanu Kiran and Mangali Krishna. He said a section of media, backed by the Congress and TDP, were trying to tarnish Jagan’s image by publishing baseless reports. (INN)
