Pramod Muthalik arrested for inciting Mysore violence

Mysore, July 25: Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik has been arrested today for inciting Mysore riots.

However, the formal arrest was made on Saturday night.

Mysore Police alleged that Muthalik made inflammatory speech before Mysore riots.

Muthalik will be produced at Udaygiri Police station for his role in Mysore riot.

Sunil Agarwal, Police Commissioner, has said that the police have evidence against Muthalik in the July1 and 2 incidents.

He said that prima facie it appeared Mysore police has ample of evidence against him and the arrest was as per the law.

However, Muthalik’s lawyer RD Kulkarni said that the arrest of Muthalik was unconstitutional and he will approach the court soon for his bail.
