Prajapati case committed to Palanpur Sessions court

Banaskantha, August 02: In a first step towards commencement of trial in the encounter of Tulsiram Prajapati, a key witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter killing, the case was today committed to the Sessions court here.

The Judicial court in Danta, where the case was registered, committed the case today to the Sessions court in Palanpur.

Nine former policemen including IPS officers D G Vanzara, Dinesh M N and Vipul Agarwal, accused in the case were produced in Danta court and given copy of the charge sheet with direction to be produced before the Sessions court, Palanpur on August 16.

The state CID, which is probing the case, had last week filed charge sheets in the case against the nine cops.

On July 30 a charge sheet was filed against Agarwal and six others charging them of criminal conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence and forgery.
