Praja Rajyam revival consultation

Hectic consultations are in program for the revival of Praja Rajyam party. After seeking approval from Mr. Chiranjeevi, his brother Mr. Pawan Kalyan is seriously considering to convene a meeting for the revival of Praja Rajyam party. After the formation of this party in 18 months, it put up a poor performance as a result of it, it was merged into Congress Party. When this party announced for the formation of separate Telangana, only two of its candidates were successful in Assembly elections. In parliamentary elections except A.Arvind no candidates were successful.
When the former C.M. of A.P. Mr. K.Roshiah had convened a meeting on 7th September 2009 in Secretariat, the representatives of Praja Rajyam party had promised to support Telangana resolution in Assembly if presented. The then Home Minister, Mr. P. Chidambaram had announced in the Parliament for the formation of separate Telangana State, all the MLAs including Praja Rajyam party members had resigned.

After the merger of Praja Rajyam Party into Congress, Chiranjeevi was made Union Minister and his two supporters were inducted into State Cabinet. When asked, Mr. Chiranjeevi had told that his party does not have any individual opinion. Whatever Congress Party decides, his part will abide by it. Mr. Chiranjeevi could not keep his promise. He is opposing the formation of Telangana.
