President Pradesh Congress Minority Department, Mohammed Sirajuddin sending the resolutions passed during Minority Convention on Saturday, to chief minister, urged the government to form cabinet subcommittee for the welfare and prosperity of Muslims and to sanction a special budget of 12000 crore rupees.
The resolution also proposed to amend Panchayat Raj act to ensure Muslim admittance into lawmaking bodies, to implement on 15 point programme, to allocate 15% of the central budget for the welfare and prosperity of minorities, to issue notification for survey gazette for protection of waqf properties, to give representation to Muslim Congressmen in corporations and boards, to enhance scholarship to poor Muslims from 1 lakh to 2 lakh, to pay the salaries of imams and muezzins of masajid through waqf board etc.
