Prabhu to sanction redevelopment of Bhopal’s Habibganj railway station

New Delhi: Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu will on Thursday formally give his sanction to a development agreement for the redevelopment of the Habibganj Station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

The agreement has been inked between the selected developer and Indian Railway Station Development Corporation Limited (IRSDC) and is the first such project to be successfully awarded on a PPP model.

Ministers of State for Railways Manoj Sinha and Rajen Gohain, Chairman of the Railway Board A. K. Mital, other Railway Board members and senior officials will also be present on the occasion.

The formal sanction for the project will be given at a function to be held at the Railway Ministry in New Delhi at 3.25 p.m. (ANI)
