Prabhu launches key railways projects

New Delhi: Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu on Wednesday launched several services and projects to enhance infrastructure and to make rail travel more comfortable.

The minister through video conferencing laid the foundation stone for the construction of “Gaya Bypass” in Bihar.

According to the ministry, after the construction of the link will improve the movement of coal, steel, cement and food grains in the region.

Besides, the ministry also dedicated the electrification of Bakhtiarpur-Rajgir Section in Bihar.

The Rail Minister then dedicated electrification of 257 km long Meralgram (Jharkhand)-Renukut (Uttar Pradesh) section.

He also dedicated the green corridor in Bhagalpur-Banka section in Bihar.
