Myanmar, November 14: A powerful blast in a residential area in Myanmar has claimed the lives of at least 10 people, including two women, and left tens of others injured.
The Sunday blast injured 23 people, including 15 children, in Myitkyina, AFP reported.
Officials say a man inside the house was demonstrating how to plant a bomb when it detonated and resulted in a fire that spread to two neighboring homes.
The explosion follows two other bomb explosions in the same town on Saturday. No casualties were reported.
Over the past years, Myanmar has been hit by several blasts, most of them minor.
Authorities blame the attacks on armed exile groups.
