Labour Minister Danam Nagender here on Saturday expressed apprehension that the decision of hike in power tariff would show impact on the Congress party’s interests at the time of by-elections to 18 Assembly constituencies in the State.
Speaking to the media here, Danam Nagender said that the hike in power tariff was an unhappy decision. He assured that he would discuss the matter with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said that the State government would definitely take steps that power tariff hike did not affect the farmers and poor people, he added. He also opined that the remarks of Congress State party incharge Ghulam Nabi Azad indicate that the Centre was positive towards the formation of separate Telangana State.
