Special directions were issued to electricity, water and municipal boards binding them to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the occasion of Eid and other festivals, not only for the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad but for the whole state.
Municipal Corporation was directed to make special cleaning arrangements on the occasion of Eid and water board was directed to make more water supply available to customers but no such thing happened on Eid-u-Fitr.
No special cleaning arrangements were made in most parts of the city neither more water supply was made available. At several places power was restored 2 hours after the usual 2 hour power cut.
