Power ministry to sell LEDs BULBS at Rs 20

The power ministry in order to save Power came up with LED bulbs; this will save 150 mega watt of Power. The Govt has opened the 60 counters across the city, to sell the LED bulbs to every household of India, just at Rs.10 against the market price of Rs.400.
New and Reviewable Energy Corporation has marked the sale of 4 lakh LED bulbs available at 60 counters opened at various part of the country, as part of strategy to complete 9.6 lakh houses within a three months, it will save 150MW of power every month.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Thursday launched the program in the state and distribution of LED bulbs started in Guntur, to be followed by Anantapur, West Godavari and Srikakulam districts.
All one has to do for purchasing of LEDs bulb is produce Aadhar Card copy, bill for traditional bulbs, and two working bulb and get two LED bulbs of a reputed company, said NREC project director G. Hraranath Babu.
Crowd is thronging the counters to buy the LED bulbs just at Rs. 20 each. There is an increased demand for LED bulb available at highly subsided rate, saving power as well as money.
