Government had promised to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Iftar and Saher but the promises proved to be just election promises. In a meeting convened by the government ahead of Ramadan it was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Iftar and Saher timings. But only on the second day of Ramadan most of the localities in Hyderabad and Secunderabad remained under the cover of darkness at the time of Saher.
Power went off at nearly 3 o’clock and resumed only after the Saher time concluded i.e. on 4:45. People who woke up to eat suhoor faced lot of difficulties due to power cut in Malakpet, Kaladera, Pani ki Tanki and surrounding areas.
