The farmers complained that despite the claims of the Govt. for the supply of electric current for seven hours, the officials of electricity are not supplying current to the crops. As a result of shortage of electricity, crops are getting damaged. TRS leaders assured the farmers that they would represent the matter to the Govt. Talking to press reporters, Mr. T. Harish Rao told that Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, sitting in air-conditioned chamber is claiming that electricity supply position is normal whereas the fact is quite opposite. The C.M. should visit the villages to take stock of the situation of electricity supply and the damages caused to crops. He told that the claim of the C.M. that power supply is normal is ridiculous. He demanded the Govt. to give at least Rs.15, 000 to each farmer.

Mr. Harish Rao also told that on making representations on the problems of farmers, cases were booked against him. He told that TRS activists are not afraid of the cases booked against them and their arrests. They are prepared to go to jail for farmers’ problems. He said that the Govt. should fulfill the promises made by it to supply electric current to farmers for seven hours. He said that the struggle for solving farmers’ problems would continue.
