POW Backs Hyderabad March Call

Progressive Organization of Women’s (POW) twin cities executive committee has extended its support to the call for ‘Hyderabad March’ on September 30, given by Telangana Political Joint Action Committee.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, POW State president V. Sandhya demanded that Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to spell out their stand on separate Telangana issue. She also alleged that the Congress party was adopting double standards on the decades old Telangana issue.

Twin cities president Y. Janaki said that they would organize a campaign from September 6 to 23 in the city. She said they would launch the campaign on September 6 at slum areas near Osmania University campus, on September 9 at Jawahar Nagar, on September 15 at Nallagutta, on September 16 Pragathinagar, on September 17 at Jeedimetla, on September 21 at Musheerabad and on September 23 at Film Nagar and M.G Nagar. She also said that they would distribute pamphlets and conduct cultural programs during the campaign program.
