Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today launched a scathing attack against the Congress party for perennial poverty, corruption and irregularities.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, Srihari attributed the prevailing poverty, corrupt practices and number of scams and scandals to the Congress misrule. “These issues are continuing like anything and the nation is being pestered with such maladies”, he expressed concern. He said the Mission Kakatiya, the flagship program of the TRS Government, was aimed at restoring lakes and water bodies to increase agricultural produce. He also lambasted the Opposition parties for criticizing the government for alleged irregularities in the project.
The Deputy Chief Minister ruled out any such irregularities in the project. He challenged the leaders of other parties to prove their allegations. “I am ready to face any sort of action if charges are proved”, Srihari declared. The lakes restoration project will prove handy to flourish rural areas with more farm produce and better income for the farmers. (NSS)
