The Potti Sriramulu Telugu University common to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, is likely to conduct separate entrance tests for admissions from the next academic year.
The authorities have already started preparations for conducting separate admissions and sought approval from the governor and the education ministers of both the states, said K.Thomasaiah, registrar of the university.
The university, which functions from the Hyderabad campus, has four more campuses in the two states, three in AP one in Telangana.
“We have to constitute a committee to sort out all these issues but before that we must get approval from the governor and both the state governments for bifurcation of the university,” Thomasaiah said.
