IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the government aims to supply potable drinking waters to 85 lakhs of households in coming three years. Addressing at a workshop on water grid pipeline management at Golconda Hotel here, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to provide safe waters to every household he said and gave pat to officials working on Sundays. Taking a dig at the previous government for rampant corruption in projects, KTR stated that they are taking measures for transparency to avoid corruption in the departments. We have removed the old policy of giving mobilisation advances to the contractors and engineering wing is preparing detailed project reports to avoid corruption, he added. (NSS)
