(Siasat News)Dr. A.A.Khan State President of Unani Medical Organization and Dr. Niyaz Ahmed Khan, President of Old Boys’ Association of Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College, in a joint press statement issued yesterday stated that due to the existence of seven departments in Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College, 15 seats of B.U. M.S, course have been reduced. Last year, no admissions were made in M.D. (Unani) course. It resulted in a huge loss for the students of Unani Medicine. The teaching staff of the College was not given postings according to their qualifications and experience. After continuous representations made by Unani Organizations, Principal Secretary, Dept. of Health has signed the file pertaining to posting of teachers.
They have thanked the Principal Secretary (Health Education) for issuing G.O. for their postings. They also congratulated the teachers of Unani Medical College and hoped that these teachers would make attempts to teach the students conscientiously and bring laurels to the institution. This will ultimately promote the cause of Unani Medical education in the State.
