Union Minister Killi Kruprani has stated that a commemorative postage stamp will be released in honour of Puttaparthi Sri Satya Sai Baba on his birth anniversary this year.
She stated Sri Satya Saibaba was an inspiration to people of all faiths. As a preacher of highest human values, Sri Satya Saibaba was an iconic figure for over five decades, who inspired millions to lead a moral and meaningful life even as they followed the religion of their choice. “His teachings were rooted in the universal ideals of truth, right conduct, peace, love and non-violence and endeared himself to the people through various institutions, with headquarters at Prashanthi Nilayam that promoted moral values, education and public health. Because of him, Prashanthi Nilayam was put on the international tourist map as one of the important pilgrimage destinations of our country”.
Keeping in view his noble services to the humanity and particularly for the welfare of the people in Andhra Pradesh, the Union Minister directed the Department of Posts to release a commemorative postage stamp on him. (NSS)
