Since the post of Special Officer is vacant in Waqf Board the board performance is badly affected. The post of Special Officer can’t be kept vacant for a long time as approval of Special Officer is compulsory for taking any important decision.
Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal’s (IPS) term ended on June 18 as Special officer and on June 20 the government appointed Jalaluddin Akber IFS as Special Officer. However due to loopholes in the GO he has not taken charge of the post till date.
Presently all the affairs of Waqf Board is under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer however he is not authorised to take decision on important matters.
