As the post of Managing Director is vacant in Minority Finance Corporation, the daily activities in the corporation and issuance of amount for various schemes have come to standstill. Only the Managing Director is authorized to sign cheques in the corporation and no one is working as managing director in the corporation for 22 days, ever since the post became vacant after the superannuation of Mr. M A Waheed IFS; but government has so far not appointed any officer on the post.
It is said that even as the release of amount every month is inevitable for hostel expenses of minority students, issue of cheques in the corporation came to a halt. Corporation workers are also worried about the issue of their salaries because if no one is appointed as managing director till July 1, the workers will be deprived of their salaries.
