The last date to submit application for Post Matric Scholarship provided by the state government is likely to be extended for further 10 days. Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali directed Minority Welfare Department to send the related file to the government. He invited Secretary and Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation’s attention towards the representation made by the public and told that since last week had long public holidays, minority students faced difficulty in submitting the applications. Hence the date should be extended for atleast 10 days. Parents and students also complained that the website remained dysfunctional for the past 3 days. Following Deputy Chief Minister’s direction Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel directed Minority Finance Corporation to send the concerned file by tomorrow so that chief minister’s approval could be sought.
