Positive results are observed on the Mobile Application of Hawk Eye started by Hyderabad City Police. This site was started on 31st December. So far, 10, 000 persons have downloaded it on their mobile phones. Hyderabad City Police is surprised that the persons residing in 45 countries have downloaded it. According to the records of IT Cell of Hyderabad City Police, many people from China, America, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Britain, Bahrain, Philippines, Australia etc have downloaded this program on their smart mobile phone. It was also revealed that nearly 21 persons are observing this site every second. Police Department is receiving nearly 500 applications everyday through this website. Majority of the complaints pertains to traffic violations. These includes keeping the shops open late at night, smoking at public places and traffic violations. The IT cell of the police is concentrating on these complaints.
It may be noted that the Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police, Mr. M. Mahendra Reddy had started Hawk Eye on 31st December in order to empower the people especially ladies. This site contains many hits. The most important one is “SOS”. Within few minutes of pressing this button, police contacts the complainant and reaches immediately. In order to ensure the safety of travel for ladies, a special button is kept. By using this button, ladies travelling in auto rickshaws and taxi cars can get the help of the police on time.
The Commissioner of Police told that the police department got better result within 10 days. IT Cell is working hard to improve it further. More facilities are being provided to make downloading easier for the citizens. For downloading this App in Google Play Store Hawk Eye should be typed.
