Posani salutes KCR & Telangana people, chides Lokesh for remarks on Nandi Awards

Condemning the remarks made by AP Minister Nara Lokesh that those who were not having even Adhar and voter cards were talking about Nandi Awards, Tollywood director & producer Posani Krishna Murali today retorted that Nara Lokesh has turned the Tollywood celebrities into “Telugu Rohingyas”.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Posani took serious exception to the provocative remarks of Lokesh Naidu and said he was prostrating before Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the people of Telangana State for their generosity. He also said he realized the greatness of Telangana people and Chief Minister KCR after hearing the pungent remarks of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son and minister Nara Lokesh. “Just because of their criticism on Nandi Awards are we non-resident Andhras in Telangana?, he asked. Posani also asked “Is it not a fact that Andhra leaders lived in Telangana prosperously and politicized the Telangana region? Why are the Andhra politicians building houses in Telangana even after the State got bifurcated? How can you play politics over the issue,” he questioned Lokesh.

Posani Murali also reminded that KCR had made it clear during separate State agitation that their fight was only against the exploiters and not with those living in Telangana as people of Andhra were like our own children. Asserting that KCR never asked the people to attack and chase away Andhra people, Posani said if KCR and Telangana people had such ill-intentions like Nara Lokesh, they would have got the Andhra people attacked and driven away through Khammam district border.

Posani decided to give back the Nandi award he received from the AP government for the movie – ‘Temper’. “I am ashamed of receiving this award. If I have accepted people may think that Posani accepted it as he belongs to Kamma community,” he said. (NSS)
