Kolkata: Condition of the popular actor Pijush Ganguly, who met with an accident earlier this week, has turned critical and he has been put under ventilation with full life support.
“His injury is serious in nature and condition of the patient is critical. He has been kept under ventilation with full life support system,” Suranjan Ghosh, General Manager (Administration), Belle Vue Clinic, told PTI here.
“The decision to put Ganguly under ventilation was taken after his blood pressure and other parameters started fluctuating,” he said.
“His condition has not improved much since this afternoon.
We have kept him under ventilation because his parameters fluctuated massively,” Ghosh said.
Ganguly’s condition deteriorated so much that doctors had to cancel the second operation on the actor which was slated this afternoon, he said.
“We will keep him under observation until his parameters become stable and will take a call on the second operation,” Ghosh said.
Ganguly was seriously injured when his car collided head-on with a bus at Santragachi in Howrah district on October 20.
