Pooja Hegde reveals “I found chapter on Mohenjo Daro boring in school”

Mumbai: Pooja Hegde is an Indian model and actress said she never imagined that she will be working in a film made on Mohenjo Daro. She said she found Mohenjo Daro boring to study during her school days.

“I’d read Mohenjo Daro chapter in school and was so bored. I never imagined I will do a film based or set in that era. The younger generation is picking up history books again and are interested to know things,” she said.

She added. “This film is Ashutosh Gowariker’s version of Mohenjo Daro. I think it will generate curiosity among audience about the story, the era,” she said.

“There are lot of girls who had great debut, but who had Hrithik Roshan? Thank you so much. Hrithik has been a very gracious person…He has been very encouraging. He was my friend whenever I needed help.” She said.

Hegde agreed terms to make her Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Ashutosh Gowariker ‘s film Mohenjo Daro, in July 2014. The film is set in 2016 BC in the ancient city of Mohenjo- daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.

The soundtrack album and film score are composed by A. R. Rahman with song lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 12 August 2016.
