Ponnam Will Not Leave Congress: Still Unhappy With Hc

Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar made it clear that he would remain in the Congress and fight for Telangana.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, he lamented that though all the MPs were fighting for Telangana, the High Command was unmoved. He said the party leadership should consider the ultimatum given by MPs of the region.
It may be recalled that MPs Manda Jagannatham, Vivek and Rajaiah gave an ultimatum to the High Command to take a decision on Telangana by the end of the month and threatened to leave the party after that.
Meanwhile, MP Vivek said they want to exert as much pressure on the Congress leadership as possible. He said there was no compromise on their resolve to fight for Telangana.
Another Telangana MP Gutta Sukhinder who also declared that he would not join the TRS as the other 3 MPs were planning, said Telangana would be possible only through the UPA government.
Talking to the media in Nalgonda, he said he would continue to fight for Telangana. When asked why the three MPs Vivek, Rajaiah and Manda Jagannatham met the TRS chief KCR, he said he did not know why they met him. He said he did not even know that they had met. (NSS)
