Telangana Congress Committee Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah today sought the Election Commission to take immediate action against the independent candidates who were violating code of conduct.
In a letter written to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal, he complained that some independent candidates contesting general elections are using the photos of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and deputy chief Rahul Gandhi. Ponnala objected that there also candidates in some segments who are illegally using Congress flags for selfish gains. He sought that the EC swiftly take action in this regard.(NSS)
