Telangana Congress Committee Chief, Ponnala Lakshmaiah today criticized the TRS for encouraging distortions.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Laxmaiah advised the MLAs and MLCs not to take a hasty decision to join the TRS or any other party. The Congress leaders must not switch loyalties to other parties. We are talking to our fellow leaders and persuading them not to join other parties, he said. About 9 to 10 leaders from the Congress are planning to switch over to the TRS, he reportedly admitted. He attributed it to ‘power politics’ being encouraged by the TRS. This is not fair on part of the TRS leadership. He also said that despite leaders changing loyalties, the leadership will take steps for strengthening the Party at all levels, he said.(NSS)
