Former TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Wednesday asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to disclose the reasons that led to dismissal of T. Rajaiah from the post of Deputy CM.
Speaking to media persons in Warangal here, Ponnala said before facing the by-elections to the Warangal Lok Sabha seat, KCR should clarify as to why he sacked Rajaiah, a Dalit leader, from his cabinet. He said KCR imposed by-elections on the people of Warangal by inducting Kadiyam Srihari into his cabinet to replace Rajaiah.
Ponnala expressed confidence that Congress party would win the Warangal seat in the by-elections.
He also accused the TRS Government of completely ignoring farmers, who are in distress due to drought-like situation. He said despite failure of monsoon, the State Government took no measures to tackle the situation and an inevitable crisis. (INN)
