Ponnala to appear before CBI tommorrow

After Prohibition and Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, now it is the turn of Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah to face the CBI questioning on Thursday at Dilkusha Guest house in connection with YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case.

The investigation agency is likely to question Ponnala Lakshmaiah over the controversial GOs issued during 2004-09 when he was the Major Irrigation Minister in YSR’s Cabinet. The GOs pertain to supply of water from river Krishna to some cement firms, which in turn made investments in companies floated by Jagan.

Meanwhile, Ponnala Lakshmaiah met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his Camp Office on Wednesday and discussed about the CBI questioning. Earlier, Ponnala stated that he has not done anything wrong or violated the guidelines of Water Tribunal while allocating water to the cement firms.
