Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday appealed to the Opposition parties, including TDP, to cooperate with the Congress party in solving the issue of Telangana Statehood.
Speaking to the media on the Assembly premises here, Sudhakar Reddy said all the Opposition parties were suffering from inferiority complex as the Congress government was not only successfully implementing welfare schemes but also trying to find a lasting solution to the decades old Telangana issue. The TDP, YSRCP and TRS were deliberately making a needless fuss as they fear great threat to their survival in the State as the people were tilting towards the Congress due to its monumental progress in all sectors, he added.
Sudhakar Reddy opined that the Congress was making sincere efforts to solve Telangana Statehood issue and ensure that post-December 9, 2009 incidents did not recur. Dubbing the TDP as ‘Telugu Dhrohula Party’, Ponguleti alleged that TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was suffering from “first signature phobia”. He exuded confidence that the welfare schemes and developmental programs taken up by the Congress government would bring handsome win to Congress candidates in Gram Panchayat and municipal elections.
