Ponguleti slams govt for not disciplining doctors

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has alleged that the State government failed to initiate action against the doctors though they were behaving irresponsibly.

Speaking to the media hereĀ on Tuesday, Ponguleti alleged that Hospital authorities were giving wrong information to the public. “I came to know that several atrocities took place in hospitals. But the State government, which supposed to take immediate action against the negligent doctors in Khammam incident remained silent.

Ponguleti demanded that the State government extend Rs 10 lakh to the victims. He also demanded that the government order judicial inquiry into the incident. He asked the Health Minister to respond on pregnant women issue in Nagarkunool government hospital instead of indulging in political criticism. He demanded that the Chief Minister respond to the issue of Khammam Hospital. He also alleged that the State government was enacting a political drama in the name of Rythu Samakhya Samithis. He also condemned the attack on Wanaparthy MLA G. Chinna Reddy. (NSS)
