Ponguleti faults traffic points system sans good roads

Lodging his protest against points system on vehicle riders, the Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has questioned the City police to tell as to how it will introduce points system without providing good roads, parking lots.

Speaking to the media at Assembly premises here on Wednesday, Ponguleti said that he spoke with Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy and City Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy over phone and asked City police to introduce points against the persons laid inferior roads. Stating that it was not correct on the part of police to cancel the licenses of the vehicle riders, Ponguleti alleged that traffic police collecting money from the vehicle riders where there were no CC Cameras. He asked Mahender Reddy to call for all-party meeting and tell about the points system.

Stating that the Congress party too mentioned in its manifesto that it will regularise outsourcing employees of Transco and Genco, Ponguleti said that it was not correct on the part of TRS leaders to make the power employees to stage dharnas against Congress party. It was also not correct to TRS party leaders to link Neerukonda and Padirikuppam incidents to Congress party as both were took place during TDP regime. The Ministers were speaking ignorantly, he said and stated that it was not correct to the TRS leaders to link the issue of someone went to Court. He demanded the state government to make the fact of issuing EPF and ESI to the contract employees public and as to how they got jobs. Whether asking about rule of reservation which helps SC AEs wrong, he lamented. (NSS)
