AICC Secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Saturday strongly condemned the criticism against Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the Telangana issue.
Speaking to media persons here, Ponguleti said that it has become a hobby for TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy to critise Sonia Gandhi on one pretext or the other. He said while Naidu was speaking about bringing down the Congress Government, he himself was not stable in the Telugu Desam Party.
Ponguleti said that some Seemandhra leaders have been conspiring to defeat the Telangana Bill in the State Legislative Assembly. However, he said that the decision of the Assembly would be of no relevance in Telangana formation as the Centre has only sought views and not the decision.
The Congress MLC also asked the leaders from Telangana region to quit the TDP. He wondered as to how the Telangana TDP leaders remained silent to the opposition of Seemandhra MPs to Telangana. (INN)
