People complain of polluted water supply at many places of old city but to no avail. When our correspondent reached Chandulal Baradari water filter to become aware of the people’s problems, a line man abruptly entered the office and said to the officer ‘Sir I have brought this polluted water from Jahanuma’.
The water brought in a bottle was highly polluted. It was not only polluted but foul smelling, as if the sewage water has got mixed up with the drinking water. To trivialize the seriousness of the matter the officer said ‘it doesn’t matter, the water will do no harm.’ He offered to drink the water but the correspondent stopped him saying ‘you will fall ill with this water’. However the officer promised that the matter will be resolved within two days.
