PATNA: Poll officials on Saturday met Bihar district and police officials to take stock of preparations for the the upcoming assembly polls, an official said.
On Friday, chief election commissioner Nasim Zaidi and his team met representatives of various political parties.
“A meeting of the EC team and officials including all district magistrates and police officials is underway.
It is an important meeting to know the ground reality from concerned district officials, who will enforce order during polls,” an official said.
Later in the day, the poll panel team will hold a meeting with the chief secretary and the director general of police over deployment of security forces in sensitive areas.
The team arrived here on Friday on a two-day visit to review poll preparations following which they are likely to finalise the dates for the state elections.
