Kadapa, April 09: Minister and Congress candidate from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency has accused the government machinery and the Election Commission of colluding with YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He alleged that the polling staff did not abide by the rules and showed preferential treatment to the YSR Congress.
He also alleged that his life was in danger from the YSR Congress. Goondas traveling in the newspaper vans of a vernacular daily owned by Jagan were shadowing him and if anything happened to him the Election Commission and the district administration should bear responsibility, he said.
Congress candidate from the Pulivendula Assembly constituency YS Vivekananda Reddy complained to returning officer and DRDA project director G Gopal that YSR Congress leader EC Gangi Reddy tried to influence voters while they were standing in the queues waiting for their turn to vote.
